I made this soup for the first time tonight......my family LOVED it! I've seen a lot of different recipes for a Sausage Zuppa Toscana Soup on the internet, but didn't know which one to try. Well....I took different ingredients from a couple of recipes that looked good and came up with this one!
AND the best thing about this recipe....is that everything I used is THRIVE foods except the Garlic!
Ingredients:
½ cup Sour Cream Powder
1 TBSP Chicken Bouillon
½ tsp Garlic Powder
½ cup FD Chopped Spinach
¼ cup Freeze Dried Onions
1 cup Instant Pinto Beans
3/4 cup Freeze Dried Sausage Crumbles
1 cup Potato Chunks (dehydrated)
½ tsp Crushed Red Pepper (optional)
*You can make this recipe as a Meals in A Jar-just layer the ingredients in a quart size jar.*
Directions:
To cook in a pot, dump all ingredients of this jar into a pot. Add 8
cups of water. Bring to a boil, turn down to medium heat and let simmer
for about 20 minutes or until potatoes and beans are tender.
To prepare in a crock pot, add soup to 8 cups of water and cook on low
for 4 hours. Serve with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and bread sticks.
