Fabulous Pancakes with Buttermilk Syrup

My daughter's birthday was today and she wanted pancakes for breakfast......but not just any pancakes! She wanted my sister's pancake recipe.
These are SO GOOD!

I think what makes it even better is the homemade buttermilk syrup.

....and you can't eat just one!

Pancakes Ingredients: (we doubled the recipe)

1 cup self rising flour, sifted
2 Tbsp THRIVE sugar
1/2 Tbsp baking powder
dash of salt
1/2 cup of milk
2 Tbsp oil
1/2 cup of buttermilk
1 egg

1. Combine wet ingredients and mix with a fork. Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl. Pour wet ingredients over the dry and whisk together.
2. Spoon onto pan or griddle and cook until browned and enjoy.

Buttermilk Syrup Ingredients:
1/2 cup of buttermilk
1 cup of THRIVE sugar
1 cube butter
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 Tbsp white corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla

Combine all ingredients except for vanilla and bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes stirring constant. Remove from heat and add vanilla.
