THRIVE Chocolate Spiders

I want to share with you a fun recipe that one of my Consultants ~ Patricia Ewing shared with me using the THRIVE Macaroons Cookie Mix.

These look so YUMMY! I can't wait to try them!
Happy Halloween!!!

To make these yummy THRIVE Chocolate Spiders:

1 1/2 cups of THRIVE Coconut Macaroon mix
3 teaspoons cocoa powder
1/4 cup boiling water
2 cups crispy rice cereal
Chow mein noodles

Preheat oven to 275.  In a medium sized bowl, mix the THRIVE Coconut Macaroon and the cocoa powder together.
Pour in the 1/4 cup of boiling water and stir well.  Allow to sit for 5 minutes.  After the 5 minutes, add 2 more
tablespoons of water and mix well.  Quickly add the 2 cups of crispy rice cereal.

Take rounded spoonfuls and gently pat the macaroon/cereal mix into balls.  Flatten a little and place on a cookie
sheet that has been lined with parchment paper.  Bake for 20 minutes.

Immediately after taking out of oven, place chow mein noodles into the warm cookies for the spider legs.  Work
quickly, because the cookies will cool quickly---I suggest you get some Halloween goblins to help you.  ;)  Allow to
cool and place eyes on your spiders using frosting to "stick" the eyes to your cooled spider creations.

Makes approximately 15 spiders.
